Hello from USA!

Hi! My name is Gabe, and I’m from the State of Michigan in the United States. I spent three weeks last summer living in Carina’s house with her mother Ely, cousin Lorena, and cat Cleo. They are wonderful and caring hosts, and I had an amazing time staying there.The apartment is located in the center of Buenos Aires near the National Congress with easy and quick access to the bus and metro system, as well as all the attractions of downtown, and living with native Argentineans, you have a wealth of information, recommendations, and help. I lived in the same flat as the family and one other foreign student, and four more students lived downstairs. The food was delicious and prepared nightly by la mamá Ely in the form of empanadas, bistéc, ensalada, pescado, y arroz. Most valuable was being able to constantly practice my castellano with the family, receiving grammar, dialect, and pronunciation instruction. I had a marvelous time in Argentina and am lucky to have met Cari, Ely, and Lore and to have had the opportunity of being their guest; I think that my stay could not have been more comfortable

Yo soy Gabe, y soy del Estado de Michigan de los E.E.U.U. Me quedé por tres semanas el verano pasado en la casa de Carina con su mama Ely, su prima Lorena, y el gato Cleo. Son muy buena gente y anfitriones cariñosas, y yo me divertí mucho durante mi estancia. El departamento está ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, cerca del Congreso Nacional con buen acceso a las líneas de colectivo y de metro, y también todas las atracciones del centro, y viviendo con argentinas nativas, tenés una abundancia de información, recomendaciones, y ayuda. Viví en el mismo piso de la familia con un otro estudiante ajeno, y cuatro más vivieron abajo. La comida era deliciosa y fue preparada cada noche por la mamá Ely en la forma de empanadas,bistéc,ensalada, pescado, y arroz. El más valioso fue la oportunidad de practicar constantemente mi castellano con la familia, y recibí instrucción de gramática, dialecto, y pronunciación. Yo gocé de mi tiempo en Argentina, y era afortunado que conociera yo a Cari, Ely, y Lore y que tuviera la oportunidad de ser su huésped; ¡creo que mi estancia no habría podido ser más cómodo!
